When you have feelings of depression, it usually means you are focused on the past and when you have feelings of anxiety, it generally indicates you are thinking about the future. Trying focusing on the present moment. Take it 5 minutes at a time if you have to right now. Connect with your senses and state what you are experiencing out loud. Your brain can't process the past or the future if you're focused on the present.
